​​I write essays and stories. Some of them appear in Gulf Coast, Guernica, Southern Review, The Baffler, Electric Lit, The Paris Review Daily, and the modern love column of The New York Times.

WVU Press published my debut novel SLIME LINE in 2024. It's about commercial fish processing. Lee Durkee called it "a cult classic" and Steve Almond called it "tender, musical, sad, funny as hell."

Next I'm writing a book of stories and a novel told partly through imagined Jerry Springer episodes. 

 

I'm from rural PA but I live in Pittsburgh now, where I work with plants and run a reading series called SAD, B.C.
